Rainbow Childcare founder publishes first novel
The founder of R.C.C, Anna McKann, has established both a charity to help needy children and a publishing house with a vision to produce books which impact children’s lives.
Anna’s first novel ‘Chavos, Kid’s of the distrito Federal’ is set in Mexico City, it tells the story of Dolita, abandoned as a baby and how she survived to become one of the street Kid Gang. Taken under the wing of an old beggar woman named Ma Kensie, Dolita’s life has been anything but easy. At the age of five she joined a group of homeless kids, living behind the metro, hidden in a small makeshift shelter. Life on the streets brings pain, suffering and trauma, but Dolita finds comfort in friendship, triumph and her dreams.
Anna is currently wiorking on the follow up to Chavos for publication in 2009.
